Clayton Calvert lives and works in New York City. He attended Bard High School Early College and is also an alumnus of The George Washington University. He has spent time in Europe studying the European Masters and uses a variety of the finest pigments, mediums and materials in creating his art. His studio is sunlit and situated in Morningside Heights where he works in oil, watercolor, drawing and various materials. He is also able to take advantage of his surroundings by engaging with the Columbia University community to pursue ceramics, marble carving and etching. He makes installations of all kinds as well. Clay was a finalist in the 2011 Saatchi Showdown - SCOPE New York. He shows at The Mark Humphrey Gallery in Southampton, NY as well as with EmergArts. He is also a member of Berlin Collective.
