Clayton Calvert lives and works in New York City. He attended Bard High School Early College and is also an alumnus of The George Washington University. He has spent time in Europe studying the European Masters and uses a variety of the finest pigments, mediums and materials in creating his art. His studio is sunlit and situated in Morningside Heights where he works in oil, watercolor and drawing. He also is able to take advantage of his surroundings by engaging with the Columbia University community to pursue ceramics, marble carving and etching. Clay was also a finalist in the 2011 Saatchi Showdown - SCOPE New York. His works can be found in numerous private collections throughout the world. He shows at The Mark Humphrey Gallery in Southampton, NY. Clayton also exhibits with The Renaissance NYC and is a member of Berlin Collective.
